Nidal Danoun - Executive Director
Nidal Danoun is the Principal Director of Prosperity Financial Services P/L (PFS Consultancy), a consultancy practice he founded in 2002. The major focus of his firm is to provide advice and training to organisations, businesses and professionals in the areas of ethics, remediation, compliance, and risk management.
Nidal has worked and regularly consults with Australia’s major banks, large financial institutions, investment banks and accounting firms. He performs compliance audits and advises these organisations on their education and professional development needs and facilitates the formation of a robust assessment remediation and risk management framework.
Nidal has also consulted to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) acting as a project manager and subject matter expert in the areas of financial services regulation, and advising on issues related to quality of advice, licensing and education standards of financial advisers and enforceable undertakings. Additionally, he was engaged to drive consultation with the industry.
Nidal has completed several assignments related to advice assessment, remediation and training including, recently assisting the Commonwealth Bank of Australia on their Open Advice Review Program acting as an adviser and a subject matter expert. Nidal has also assisted PWC on several advice remediation assignments.
Serving as a subject matter expert in the areas of Ethics, tax and financial planning, Nidal has contributed to several finance and financial planning curriculum including the CFP program. He has also served on the board of several professional education committees with the Tax Institute, CAANZ, FPA (FAAA), CFA, SMSF Association and CPA.

Nidal has completed several research study assignments abroad including in the USA with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE Euronext), the Federal Reserve Bank and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
As an active member of the profession, Nidal is a regular presenter and moderator at various investment, superannuation and financial planning seminars. He is also an adjunct lecturer at the University of NSW (UNSW)Businesss School Banking and Finance ad the AGSM & Macquarie University where he runs and convenes courses in the areas of Ethics, leadership, business law, wealth management, and tax.

Nidal holds a Master of Commerce he is a Chartered Accountant, Fellow CPA, CPA Financial Planning Specialist, Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Tax Adviser, Registered Tax Agent, CA SMSF Specialist and a member and a Certified Ethics Trainer of the CFA Institute. Nidal has 20 years experience in the financial services industry.
